The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring that the brand is exemplified in all store operations and by living the client experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for driving profitable business results and operational excellence through strong leadership skills. You will guide, train, coach, motivate, and inspire your team every day. You will model the Blue Stripe LLC, dba Fresh Produce experience by looking the brand through your personal styling of the product. An established style point of view is a must, as you will merchandise and sell in an ever-changing mix of products that reflect the coastal vibe of the Fresh Produce lifestyle.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

As an Assistant Store Manager you are the face of our brand. You and your team will act as brand ambassadors to create an authentic connection with the client and the community.

 

Essential Functions:

 

· Inspire your team to maintain an exceptional level of client service.

· Provide strong leadership to the staff by creating a positive and engaging work environment.

· Operate with a strategic mindset.

· Communicate effectively and respond to directives in an accurate and timely manner.

· Deliver to financial goals.

 

Client Experience:

· Model the Fresh Produce client experience at all times.

· Coach team on behaviors that drive the client experience.

· Create and implement clear plans for continued outreach to build client base.

· Continuously strive to enhance our client experience.

 

Merchandising:

· Deliver the Fresh Produce lifestyle through high standards of visual presentation.

· Plan and execute floor set directives within the allotted time frame.

· Identify and understand trends and opportunities by analyzing various business reports; recommending adjustments as needed to drive business.

· Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on business and client needs by partnering with your Store Manager.

 

Operations:

· Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

· Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of, and ensure operational excellence in, all facets of store operations including store sales, inventory management, and POS transactions.

· Support safety and security control measures which include safety and security of employees and clients, security against merchandise loss, damage and theft. Ensure that the store accurately carries out loss prevention activities and continuously strives to improve product loss.

· Aid the Store Manager in managing expenses including scheduling and payroll.

 

Human Resources:

· Support the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring and continuously developing a team that supports the brand direction, is client focused, professional and knowledgeable.

· Assist in the training and development of associates to deliver to an elevated, brand relevant, client experience using all available tools and resources.

· Prioritize and delegate specific duties and follow up as needed.

· Actively recruit, interview and recommend talented individuals for store positions to positively impact store sales goals and objectives. Maintain a strategic network to continuously meet the needs of the business.

· Assist in creating an engaging, cross-functional team that works together to take initiative and delivers strong results.

· Partner with your Store Manager in addressing performance issues.

· Represent the brand in a professional and positive manner.

· Maintain and demonstrate flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.

· Effectively and actively communicate with your Store Manager and District Manager.

 

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years successful retail management and/or supervisory experience in a client focused environment

· Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team

· Proven success managing and meeting sales and/or operating targets

· Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills

· Ability to handle and protect confidential information and company assets

· Proven track record in increasing responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment

· Strong visual eye with experience in specialty fashion apparel

· Proactive and creative problem solving ability

· Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office Word and Excel, POS, and payroll tools

· Physical requirements include the ability to lift 40 pounds, manage stairs and ladders and standing for long periods of time
